The sea transformed from turbulent to tranquil,
The wind turned from hazy to breezy;
The shipwrecked; the birds no more chirped,
The horizons were now clearly visible.
It was the morning after the storm.
I woke up with his arms around me,
The aroma of his presence brought me ecstasy.
I stared at him, and then gazed at the window,
To see if the sun shined brighter that morning.
It was the morning after we first kissed.
Fragrance of the earth was rejuvenating;
Trees looked all green, Flowers were blooming.
Kids looked joyous, regardless of everything.
Mother Nature had a celebration last night.
It was the morning after it rained.
There was something imperceptible about that sunrise;
He wanted to evade from all that pain.
He tried to wake up but in vain.
That was his last sleep ever.
It was the morning after he died.
